Adams, Solomon, - 1783

Solomon Adams, the son of Samuel Adams (Quinnipiac/Tunxis) and Hannah Squamp (Wangunk/Tunxis), was most likely born in the East Haven area.  He removed with his parents to Farmington, Connecticut during the Quinnipiac migration and may have acquired some rights for the Wangunk lands through his mother.  On April 13, 1775 Solomon married Olive Occom, the daughter of Samson and Mary Occom, and subsequently had at least five children: Philena Adams Waucus Crossley, Damaris Adams Thomas, Ellen Adams, David Adams, Pually Adams Mossuck.  He received his father’s share of lot 52 in Farmington on March 21, 1782.  Solomon was a soldier during the American Revolution and died around 1783.
