Fielding, Eliphalet Pegee, 1823 - 1899

Eliphalet Pegee Fielding was the son of Francis Fielding and Rachel Hoscott of the Mohegan Tribe in Montville, Connecticut.  He married Lydia Marie Ellis in Norwich, Connecticut on January 17, 1849.  The couple had a number of children: Gertrude Lenora, Edwin C., Alice, Frank Eliphalet, Jacob, Phoebe Antoinette, Lemuel Miller, Burrill Hyde Fielding, Albert Goodwin, Harriet, and William Williams.  In 1863, his occupation was a sailor in the Civil War Registration Records.

Fielding, Moses , 1833 - 1897

Moses Fielding was the son of Francis Fielding and Rachel Hoscott of the Mohegan Tribe in Montville, Connecticut.  By 1854, he married Frances C. Dick, who bore him one son, Julian Fielding.    With the death of Frances at the end of 1854, Moses remarried to a woman named Thankful.  He lived at Montville as a farmer until 1892 when he removed to Groton.  He died at Montville on June 10, 1897.  A Mohegan Genealogy by Niyayodqj, Ancestry.

Miller, Lemuel O. , - 1881

Lemuel O. Miller was the son of John Miller and Molly George of Montville, Connecticut.  He was a crew member on the Julius Caesar in April 1833 on a voyage to the South Atlantic.  Four years later on November 2, 1837, he married Delana C. Fielding in Montville.  In 1842, he returned to sea on the Robert Brown with a destination of the Pacific Ocean.  Miller returned to Connecticut by 1870, living at the Mohegan reservation.  He died there on October 26, 1881 of typhoid pneumonia.

Bohema, Sarah E. , 1798 - 1882

Sarah (Sally) E. Bohema was the daughter of Daniel Bohema and Betty Cooper of the Mohegan Tribe in Montville, Connecticut.  She was a noted basket maker.  In 1858, Sarah and her brother Jerome were heirs of Henrietta Nichols.  At her death, Sarah held rights in at least two tracts of land at Montville.  Brown and Rose, Black Roots, 34. Hoscott, Diana , - 1874

Diana Hoscott was the daughter of Isiah Hoscott and Cynthia Tecomwas of the Mohegan Tribe of Montville, Connecticut.  She married Charles Matthews of Charlestown, Rhode Island.  The couple had two sons, Alpheus and Henry.  By 1827, she wed Halsey Rogers and had three children: James H., Lucy Ann, and Leonard Rogers.  Brown and Rose, Black Roots, 247.  U.S. Federal Census for Montville, Connecticut (1870). A Mohegan Genealogy by Niyayoqj, Ancestry.
