Deed of Elnathan Gridley to Solomon Mossuck

To All People to Whom These Presents Shall Come: Greeting
 
Know you that I, Elnathan Gridley, of Farmington in the County of Hartford and Colony of Connecticut in New England, for the consideration of twenty pound money received to my full satisfaction, of Solomon Mossuck, an Indian man of said Farmington, do give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Solomon Mossuck and to his heirs and assigns forever one certain piece of parcel of land in said Farmington, it being the 51th Lot in number in Southeast Division, so-called, laid out on the right of Samuel Steel, formerly of Farmington, deceased, and contains thirty-three acres, three roods, and four perches, and is butted west on the 20 Rod Highway that runs round the reserved land, east on a 4 rod Highway that lies on the west side of the Indian land, north on the 50th Lot, south on the 52nd Lot in number in said Division, allowing a four rod Highway that runs east and west through near the middle of said lot.
 
To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof, unto him, the said Solomon Mossuck, and to his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use and behoof. And, also, I, the said Elnathan Gridley, do for myself and my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Solomon Mossuck, his heirs and assigns that, at and until the ensealing of these presents, I am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form, as is above written, and that the same is free of all encumbrances whatsoever.  And, furthermore, I, the said Elnathan Gridley, do by these presents, bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises, to him, the said Solomon Mossuck, his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.
