Deed from Israel Freeman to John North

To All People to Whom These Presents Shall Come; Greeting
 
Know you that I, Israel Freeman, of Farmington in the County of Hartford and State of Connecticut in America for the consideration of two hundred pounds lawful money received to my full satisfaction of John North of Farmington, aforesaid, do give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said John North and to his heirs and assigns forever one piece or parcel of land situate in said Farmington and on the east side of the Town Street, opposite to the dwelling house of Elijah Cowles, and contains by estimation one acre and a half of land with a dwelling house and barn and blacksmith shop standing thereon, and is butted and bounded west on the Town Street, south on the land leading up to the first mountain, east on land of Colonel Noadiah Hooker, north on land of Doctor Timothy HosmerTo have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof, unto him, the said John North, and to his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use and behoof.  And, also, I, the said Israel Freeman, do for myself and my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said John North and with his heirs and assigns that, at and until the ensealing of these presents, I am well seized of the premises, as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all encumbrances whatsoever.  And, furthermore, I, the said Israel Freeman, do by these presents, bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises, to him, the said John North, his heirs, and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.
