Deed from Elijah Wampey to Thomas Lewis

To All People to Whom These Presents Shall Come: Greeting
 
Know you that Elijah Wampey, late of Farmington, in the County of Hartford and State of Connecticut in New England, now of Oneida in the Mohawk Country, for the consideration of seven pounds lawful money received to my full satisfaction of Thomas Lewis of Farmington, aforesaid, do give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Thomas Lewis and to his heirs and assigns forever one piece or parcel of land situate in said Farmington, and lying in the common field in said Farmington at a place called and known by the name of Fort Hill, and contains five acres, be the same, more or less, and is butted and bounded as follows, namely, east on said Lewis' own land, west on the common fence where it now stands, north on the river, south on land of Abigail Shoran
 
To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him, the said Thomas Lewis, and to his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use and behoof, and, also, I, the said Elijah Wampey, do for myself and my heirs, executors, and administrators covenant with the said Thomas Lewis and his heirs and assigns that, at and until the ensealing of these presents, I am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all encumbrances whatsoever.  And, furthermore, I, the said Elijah Wampey, do, by these presents, bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises to him, the said Thomas Lewis, his heirs, and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever.
