Deed from Cornelius Indian and Elijah Wampey to Elnathan and Roger Hooker

To All People to Whom These Presents Shall Come: Greeting
 
Know you that we, Cornelius Indian and Elijah Wampey, both of Farmington in the County of Hartford and Colony of Connecticut in New England by and with advice and direction of Colonel John Strong, Colonel Gay, and Elnathan Gridley, appointed by the Assembly of this Colony to advise in the sale of the Indian land, for the consideration of one hundred and fifty pounds lawful money received to our full satisfaction of Elnathan Hooker and Roger Hooker, both of said Farmington, do give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Elnathan Hooker and Roger and to his heirs and assigns forever one piece of parcel of land situate in said Farmington at a place called and known by the name of Congee, it being the farm on which we now live and contains forty acres by estimation be the same, more or less, with a dwelling house and barn standing on said land and is butted and bounded east on highway by the common fence, west on land of Elnathan Gridley, north on the River, and south on several lots in the Northwest Divisions.
 
To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof, unto him, the said Elnathan Hooker and Roger Hooker, and to their heirs and assigns forever, to   them and their own proper use and behoof. And also, we, the said Cornelius and Elijah Wampey, do for ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators, covenant with the said Elnathan Hooker and Roger Hooker and with their heirs and assigns that at and until the ensealing these presents, we are well-seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee-simple; and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all encumbrances whatsoever.  And, furthermore, we, the said Cornelius and Elijah, do, by these presents, bind ourselves and our heirs forever, to warrant and defend the above-granted and bargained premises to them, the said Elnathan Hooker and Roger Hooker, their heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.   
 
In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and seals in the sixteenth year of reign of Our Sovereign Lord, George III of Great Britain, etc., King,
