An Act to Protect the Wood on the Lands of the Pequot Tribe of Indians                 

An Act Authorizing the Sale of Indian Lands

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened

The committee to whom was referred the petition of Doctor Philemon Tracy stating that he had rendered medical aid to John Miller, an Indian belonging to the Stonington part of the Pequot Tribe, that said services were rendered under the direction of the overseer of said tribe and that there are no funds in the hands of said overseer from which he can remunerate the petitioner for said services and praying that a remuneration may be made him either from the sale of a part of the lands of said tri

Resolved by this assembly, that the comptroller of public accounts be directed to draw an order on the treasurer of this state for the sum of fifty-five dollars in favor of Doctor Philemon Tracy for medicine and medical aid rendered John Miller, a Pequot Indian, and that the treasurer be directed to pay the same.
