Deed from Solomon Hart to Elijah Wampey

To All People to Whom These Presents Shall Come: Greeting
 
Know you that Solomon Hart of Farmington in the County of Hartford and Colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of one hundred and twelve pounds money received to my full satisfaction of Elijah Wampey, Indian man of said Farmington, do give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Elijah Wampey and to his heirs and assigns forever two pieces or parcels of land in the township of Farmington aforesaid, namely, one piece at a place called Congee and a part the upland ad joying thereto, being two-thirds of the farm of land where I now dwell, excepting what I this day sold to Elnathan Gridley, containing by estimation thirty acres, be the same, more or less, as it lyeth undivided with the rest or other third of said farm with two-thirds of my dwelling house and barn standing on said land, the whole being butted and bounded as followeth: east on highway by the common fence, west on land I this day sold to Elnathan Gridley, north on the river, south on several lots lately laid out to several persons.  The other piece is three-quarters of twenty acres of land formerly belonging to John Warner, Sr., formerly of said Farmington, deceased, at a place called Fort Hill, as it lyeth undivided with the remainder of said twenty acres, the whole being butted and bounded as followeth: east with the rang where the old common fence formerly, ten rods, west with the common fence where it now stands, north with the river, south with land belonging to the heirs of Jonathan Barnes, deceased.  To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof unto him, the said Elijah Wampey, his heirs, and assigns forever, to and their own proper use and behoof. And, also, I, the said Solomon Hart, do for myself and my heirs, executors, and administrators covenant with the said Elijah Wampey, his heirs and assigns that, at and until the ensealing of these presents, I am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all encumbrances whatsoever.  And, furthermore, I, the said Solomon Hart, do by these presents, bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises to him, the said Elijah Wampey, his heirs and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever.
