Matthews, Delana E., 1849 - 1938

Delana E. Matthews was the daughter of Henry Matthews and Mercy Ann Nonesuch of the Mohegan community in Montville, Connecticut.  She married Jerome Samuel Skeesucks, a Brothertown member, and had a son James Rosco Skeesucks.  The family lived in Norwich, Connecticut and at the Mohegan reservation in Montville, Connecticut.  Delana was a member of the Mohegan Congregational Church and a Sunday school teacher.  Obituary, Norwich Bulletin, February 4, 1933, 5.
