Copy of the Appointment and Report of a Committee to Evaluate the State and Condition of Tribes in the State of Connecticut

In the House of Representatives, Messrs. Treadwell, Taylor, and William T. Williams with such gentlemen as the Upper House shall join are appointed a committee to take into consideration the state and condition of the tribes of Indians within this state with respect to the instruction of their children and youth in letters and morals, and to report what measures, if any, ought to be adopted to promote the instruction of such children and youth in order to render them useful in social life, and to report by bill or otherwise.
