Otis, Harrison Gray, 1765 - 1849

Harrison Gray Otis was a businessman and lawyer from Boston, Massachusetts.  A graduate of Harvard College (1783), he was admitted to the bar three years later.  Otis served as US Attorney for the District of Massachusetts (1796), U.S. House of Representatives (1797-1801), President of the Massachusetts Senate (1805-1806, 1801-1811), U.S. State Senate (1817-1822), and Mayor of Boston (1829-1832).  Wikipedia.
