Cambridge is a city in Middlesex County, Massachusetts within the Massachusett Indian territory.  It was settled and established as an English town on September 8, 1633 as New-town.  Parts of Charlestown was annexed tp Cambridge in 1802, 1818, and 1820.  It was incorporated as a City on March 17, 1846.  Part of Watertown was annexed to Cambridge in 1855.  The boundary line between Somerville and Cambridge were changed in 1856.
