Tuspaquin, Benjamin I

Benjamin Tuspaquin (Squinnaway) was the son of Tuspaquin and Amie, the daughter of the Wampanoag sachem, Massasoit.  He married an Indian woman named Weecum and had four children: Benjamin, Esther, Hannah, and Mary.  Benjamin Tuspaquin served under Captain James Church in King Philip's War and for that service was awarded land in Freetown, Massachusetts (now Fall River).  Pierce, Indian History, Biography, and Genealogy, 211-212.
