Root, Joseph, 1699 - 1741

Joseph Root (August 27, 1699-May 4, 1741) was the son of Joseph Root and Elizabeth Warner of Farmington, Connecticut, and the husband of Hannah Wadsworth. In the Tunxis Indian petition to the Connecticut General Court in 1738, he and other Farmington residents were accused of encroaching on Indian land.  Farmington, Connecticut Town Records pre-1870, Barbour Collection, Ancestry.  Additional sources for this biography come from the Related Digital Heritage Items listed below.
