Talsbury, Judith

Not much is known about Judith (Jude) Talsbury other than she was a a member of the Eastern Pequot community.  She may have been related to John and Zilpha Talsbury, tribal members who in 1790 resided in North Stonington with five individuals in their household.

Judith appears twice in the Eastern Pequot overseer accounts, first in January 1829, she was paid for keeping one of Hannah Shelly's children.  Six years later, on May 19, 1835, the tribal overseer, Ezra Hewitt, provided her with postage on a letter about, for, or from her.
