Bartholomew, Henry, 1607 -

Henry Bartholomew was born in Burford, England, the son of William Bartholomew, the village shopkeeper.  He arrived in Massachusetts in 1635 and settled at Salem.  Bartholomew became a town officer and deputy to the Massachusetts General Court.  Robert Emmet Wall, The Membership of the Massachusetts Bay General Court, 1639-1686 (New York, N.Y.: Garland Press, 1991), 151.
