Whitman, Lemuel, 1739 - 1762
Lemuel Whitman was the son of Samuel Whitman and Susan Cole of Farmington, Connecticut. During the French & Indian War, he served as a private in Captain John Patterson's Company of Major-General Phineas Lyman's First Regiment. Whitman died in Cuba during the Battle of Havana.
