Wheeler, William R., 1806 - 1851

William R. Wheeler (1806-1851) was the son of Perez Wheeler 1767 and Desire Randall of North Stonington, Connecticut. In November of 1832, Ezra Hewitt, the Eastern Pequot's overseer, paid him 75 cents for use of two people, Henry Shantup and a person whose first initial was W. In June of the next year, Wheeler was reimbursed for expenses incurred in boarding Moses Brushell.  Shoes and cornmeal were purchased at his store for the Eastern Pequots in March of 1848.
