Sisson, Benjamin Franklin, 1811 - 1885

Benjamin Franklin Sisson (April 20, 1811-September 8, 1885), the son of Gilbert Sisson and Desire Main of North Stonington, Connecticut, was a cabinet and furniture maker.  In 1842, Sisson removed to Binghamton, New York, where he started a successful dry goods store.  He served as Binghamton's village trustee in 1855 and its president in 1856.  He died there in 1885.
