Hull, John Williams, 1789 - 1878
John Williams Hull (1789-1878) was the son of Latham Hull, Sr., and Desire Williams of Stonington, Connecticut. He served as colonel of the Thirty-sixth Regiment of the Connecticut militia and held the rank of regiment captain when the British attacked Stonington during the War of 1812.
In the summer of 1831 up to April 1, 1832, Hull rented the Indian pasture on the Eastern Pequot reservation. He offset some of his rent by making part of a wall on the fence line. He rented with Charles Wheeler in the summer of 1833 to April 1, 1834, but rented by himself from 1847 to 1850.
