Petition of Sally Burr to the Massachusetts General Court
To the Honorable Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Respectfully represents Sally Burr of Boston, that she is the widow of James Burr who was a member of the Ponkapog Tribe of Indians, that she is unable to maintain herself on account of the state of her health. She, therefore, prays that an annuity of fifty-two [ dollars ] may be granted by the Commonwealth for her benefit. That the same be made payable to the Guardian of the said tribe to be by him expended for her support.
And as in duty bound will ever pray,
