Henson, Marcy

Mashpee resident, Marcy Henson was one of twenty persons of color admitted to Phineas Fish's congregation during his ministry.  James Walker's report in 1835 indicates she was a full-blooded Indian to distinguish her from Fish's other congregants. James Walker's Facts in Regard to the Difficulties at Marshpee, 1835.10.17.00.
