Huntington, Charles P., 1779 - 1850

Charles Phelps Huntington was the son of Andrew Huntington and Hannah Phelps of Norwich, Connecticut.  He was a representative from that town to the Connecticut General Assembly.  In 1826, he chaired a committee that considered the outstanding payments for Dr. Philemon Tracy for treating a sick Pequot living in Norwich. 
Five years later, Huntington became an assistant clerk to the Connecticut House of Representatives.  He also served as a member of a Select Committee to investigate the petition of Doctor Vine Utley for compensation for services rendered to the Niantic Tribe of Indians.
