Pitkin, William, 1725 - 1789

William Pitkin, Jr. was the son of Governor William Pitkin (1694-1769) and Mary Woodbridge of Hartford, Connecticut, and brother of Rev. Timothy Pitkin (1726-1811) of Farmington, Connecticut.  Pitkin was an officer during the French & Indian War, a member of the Council of Safety during the American Revolution.  He served as an assistant to and clerk of the Connecticut General Assembly and was a judge of the Hartford Superior Court.  Charles H.
