Bradford, Nathaniel, 1766 - 1832

Nathaniel Bradford was the son of Samuel Bradford and Bridget Comstock and the husband of Lucy Raymond.  A farmer from Montville, Connecticut, he owned a farm near Uncasville.  Bradford was known to be a "thorough Methodist" who contributed to the support of the ministry.  He was elected his town's representative to the Connecticut General Assembly in 1821.  The Legislature appointed him an overseer of the Mohegan Tribe, a position he held from 1818 to 1820.  Bradford died suddenly on September 16, 1832 at 65 years old.
