Quincy, John, 1689 - 1787

Colonel John Quincy (1689-1787) was a farmer from Braintree, Massachusetts.   He served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives in various years from 1717 to 1756 (Speaker 1729-1740) and Council (1742, 1747-1753).  Quincy also acted as the Guardian of the Ponkapoag Indians.
