Wawowos

Wawowos was a member of a prominent Tunxis family and a leader of the community.  Several of his descendants were in similar leadership positions. Wawowos' children were James and Eunice.  In 1688, William Lewis and Captain John Stanley nominated Shum and him to be the successors of Ahamo in leading the tribe. Wawowos' name appears on an October 12, 1714 codicil of a deed along with Taphow the younger and wife, all being from Farmington.  He was dead by 1727.
