Deed of James Wawowos and Others to Timothy Root

Know all men by these presents that we, Jacob Thomas and Damaris Thomas, my wife, 1 Wawowos2 and Philena Wawowos, for divers good causes and considerations thereunto moving, especially for a valuable sum of money received to our satisfaction of Timothy Root of Farmington in the County of Hartford and State of Connecticut have remised, released, and forever quitclaimed, and do by these presents, for ourselves and our heirs, justly and absolutely remise, release, and forever quitclaim unto the said Timothy Root and to his heirs and assigns forever, all such right and title as we, the said grantors, have or ought to have in or to all the real estate that ever belonged to our father, Solomon Adams,3 late of Farmington, aforesaid deceased, within the limits of the First Society in said Farmington, however the same may be butted, bounded, or otherwise described.
 
To have and to hold the premises unto him the said Timothy Root his heirs and assigns, to the only use and behoof of the said Timothy Root, his heirs and assigns, forever, so that neither we, the said grantors, nor our heirs, nor any other person or persons, for us or either of us, or in our name and behalf, shall or will hereafter claim or demand any right or title to the premises or any part thereof, but they, and every of them, shall, by these presents, be excluded and forever barred.

  • 3. Solomon Adams and Olive Occum were the parents of five children: Philena Adams Wawowos Crossley, Damaris Adams Thomas, Ellen Adams, David Adams, Pually Adams Mossuck.  Solomon Adams died around 1783.
