Nedson, Anna, 1790 - 1827

Anna Nedson was the daughter of James Nedson and Tyra Apes, one of eleven children in their household on the Eastern Pequot reservation.  According to her father's military pension deposition, she and her brother Thomas were dependent on James for her support in 1820.  In 1827, Anna and her child received clothing and food from the tribe's overseer.  They were also boarded by Sally Lewis who took care of them during sickness.  Unfortunately, neither Anna nor her child survived.  The tribe paid for her grave clothes in September of that year.
