Summons of Overseer of the Eastern Pequot Tribe to Ezra Hewitt

To the Sheriff of the County of New London or His Deputy or to Either Constable of the Town of North Stonington in Said County, Greeting. 
 
By authority of the State of Connecticut, you are hereby commanded to summon Ezra Hewitt of North Stonington, aforesaid, to appear before the County Court to be holden at Norwich within and for said County on the second Tuesday of February 1841, then and there to answer unto the foregoing petition and shew reason, if any he has, why the prayer of the foregoing should not be granted.
