Allen, Jonathan, 1734 - 1784

Jonathan Allen (1734-1784) was a lawyer and owner of a large farm in Chilmark, Massachusetts.  He served as Chilmark's selectman (1766-1775) and representative to the Massachusetts General Court (1761, 1767, 1769, 1770, 1773).  In 1773, Allen was appointed a guardian to the Chappaquiddick and Gay Head Indians.  Schutz, Legislators of the Massachusetts General Court.
