Lawrence, Patience, - 1794

Patience Lawrence was the daughter of Sarah Printer and Peter Lawrence of Grafton, Massachusetts.  She married Ceasar Gimby around the year 1766.  The couple had four children -- Hannah, Lucy, Ceasar, and Moses and resided on the Printer family's ancestral land in Grafton.After the Patience's and Ceasar's deaths the Gimbee sons became wards of their cousins Elnathan Freeborn.  HL-P, Hassanamisco People, YIPP Research Files.  Mandell, Behind the Frontier, 191.  For a discussion of Patience Lawrence's landholdings, see Donna Rae Gould," Contested Places: The History and Meaning of Hassanamisco," PhD.
