Cooper, Aaron, Sr., 1791 -

Aaron Cooper, Sr. was the son of Josiah and Remember Cooper of Gay Head, Massachusetts.  He married Abiah Cooper around 1817 and had three children, Aaron, Amos, and Belinda.  In 1854, he was an overseer for the community.  Six years later, his family was living at Gay Head, owning two acres of land and one cow.  Pease, Pease Report, 53.  Pierce and Segel, Wampanoag Families of Martha's Vineyard, 165-166.
