Wyllys, Hezekiah, 1672 - 1741

Son of Samuel Wyllys and Ruth Haynes, Hezekiah Wyllys, (April 3, 1672-December 24, 1741) was the town clerk of Hartford (1705-1732) and the secretary of the Colony of Connecticut from 1712 to 1734.  Because of infirmities, his son George stood in for him from October 1730 to October 1734.  Royal Ralph Hinman, Letters from the English Kings and Queens, Charles II, James II, William and Mary, Anne, George II &c. to the Governors of the Colony of Connecticut (Hartford: J.B.
