Williams, William, 1740 - 1814
Captain William Williams was the son of William Williams and Margaret Cooke of Groton, Connecticut, and the husband of Prudence Stanton. He served in the military and naval services during the War of Revolution from 1775-1783. Wheeler, History of the Town of Stonington, 683.
