Wadsworth, Gad, 1749 - 1820

Gad Wadsworth (December 18, 1749-August 31, 1820) was the son of Captain William Wadsworth and Ruth Hart of Farmington, Connecticut. During the American Revolution, he was a private under Captain Smith, then a 1st lieutenant under Captain Asa Bray.  He then became a brigade quartermaster on General Waterbury's staff.  In 1804, he was a witness on a deed from Abigail Way to Mark Root. Wadsworth later removed to Avon, New York, where he died in 1820.
