Tuspaquin, William

William Tuspaquin was the oldest son of Tuspaquin, the Black Sachem, of the Wampanoag at Nemasket.  In 1673, he and his father sold numerous tracts of tribal land, including a piece of property to John Sassamon as a home lot to base his proselytizing.  Duane Hamilton Hurd, History of Plymouth County, Massachusetts (Philadelphia, PA: J.
