Speen, Abraham

Abraham Speen was a proprietor at Natick, Massachusetts and a Congregational preacher there from 1669 to 1675.  Two years later during the battle at Moore’s Brook in Scarborough, Maine on July 4, 1677, Speen was shot through both thighs. In 1684, he, Captain Tom, and several others protested the sale of land near Whip Suffrage, Massachusetts, and demanded redress.  His name appears on the Indian deed to Marlborough.  Andrews, Native Apostles. 55.
