Sokiant, Sarah

Sarah was the wife of Sampson Sokiant. Together with her husband,  she appears in the account book of Jonathan Wheeler of Stonington, Connecticut for a three year period in 1740-1743.  A Sarah Sokiant of Stonington was sued for debt in February of 1763, but it is unclear whether this Sarah was the wife of Simon or Sampson.  In the winter of 1773 Sarah Sokiant, wife of Sampson, is enumerated by the tribe as one of the needy.
