Smith, Thomas (Farmington), 1699 - 1788

The son of Samuel Smith and Ruth Porter, Thomas Smith (October 12, 1699-October 2, 1788) was a weaver and farmer from Farmington, Connecticut.   Smith was a witness in the deed from Sue Nuppe and an abutter on Tunxis land at Indian Neck.  In 1767, he was one of several defendants in James Wawowos's lawsuit against trespassing colonists.  In was injured in a fall in 1785 and required to be confined to a bed for the last three years of his life.  Smith died on 1778.
