Shirley, Nancy

Born in Rhode Island in 1804, Nancy Shirley was the wife of George W. Shirley, a farmer from North Stonington, Connecticut. In February and April 1845 and in October of the following year, she and her husband received payments from the Eastern Pequot overseer for boarding Philena, a member of the tribe.
