Saunders, Sally, 1783 - 1882
Rhode Island-born, Sarah Saunders was the wife of Beriah Lewis, a farmer from North Stonington, Connecticut. In 1827, she boarded and nursed Anna Nedson and Nedson's child, members of the Eastern Pequot tribe, when they were sick.
