Old Nosauwinnu

Old Nosauwinnu was a member of the Nipmuc Indian community.  In 1681, he was named as having property rights in land around the Nashaway River.  Four years later, he, Captain Tom, and several others protested the sale of land near Whip Suffrage, Massachusetts, and demanded redress.  Petition of Captain Tom to the Massachusetts General Assembly, 1684.09.19.00.  MA 30: 262a, 287.
