Occuish, Abraham, - 1807

Abraham Occuish was a member of the Niantic Tribe of Lyme, Connecticut.  He was the son of Joseph Occuish and Amy Johnson.  By 1798, Occuish owned twelve acres of land in New London, Connecticut.  He received Lot 131 at Brothertown and prepared to remove there in 1805 by working for Joshua Powers. In 1806, Occuish was a crew member aboard the Schooner Fame, bound for Barbados. According to his sister Rhoda's petition to the Connecticut General Assembly, Abraham Occuish was "lately dead" in 1807.  1807.10.03.01.
