Lee, Hezekiah, 1697 - 1762

Capt. Hezekiah Lee was born in Farmington, Connecticut, on June 6, 1697, the youngest son of John and Elizabeth Lee. He was the brother of Ensign Samuel Lee. He married Sarah Porter, daughter of Dr. Samuel Porter of Farmington, Dec. 23, 1728. In the Tunxis Indian petition to the Connecticut General Court in 1738, he and his brother were accused of encroaching on Indian land. Between July 6 and Oct. 22, 1760, Hezekiah moved to Litchfield and then to Goshen. He died in Harwinton in 1762. His will, dated July 4, 1762, reveals that he owned land in Farmington, Goshen, New Hartford, and Harwinton.
