Kimberly, Thomas, 1681 - 1730

Thomas Kimberly was born on Sept 29, 1681, in Wethersfield, Connecticut, the son of Eleazer and Ruth Kimberly. He moved with his father Eleazer Kimberly to Glastonbury, where he met his wife Ruth Hale (m. May Feb. 24, 1704). He became a justice in Hartford County (1712) and served as clerk of the Court (1712) and clerk of Glastonbury (1713-30). He also served as representative from Glastonbury to the Connecticut General Court (1708-11, 1714-29), and as speaker of General Assembly (1726-29). He died in Glastonbury, Connecticut, on Jan. 29, 1730.
