Hart, John, MD, 1753 - 1798

Born in Kensington, Connecticut in 1753, Dr. John Hart was the fourth son of Deacon Ebenezer Hart and a graduate of Yale College (1776).  He was a surgeon in the army during the American Revolution and established a practice in Farmington after the war.   During the war, Hart moved to Farmington until about 1798, when he entered the United States Navy and died at sea. Andrews, Genealogical History of Deacon Stephen Hart, 22.  Jewett, The Memorial History of Hartford County, Connecticut, Vol. 1, 139.  North, History of Berlin, Connecticut, 66.
