Gridley, Luke, 1734 - 1810

Luke Gridley was the son of Hezekiah and Sarah (Newell) Gridley of Farmington, Connecticut.  During the French & Indian War, he served under Captain Nathaniel Payson in the 3rd Company of the Connecticut Militia, stationed at Fort Edward and kept a journal of the activity there from 1757 to 1758.  Find A Grave (Old North Burying Grounds, Bristol, CT).  Luke Gridley diary, 1757 Mar. 29-1758 Aug. 23., The Huntington Library.
