George, Joshua, - 1825
According to the records of the State appointed overseer to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, Joshua George was the son of Benjamin George. Joshua lived for a short period in the Mark Daniels household, in the months of February and March of 1825. Daniels and his wife, Amy George, nursed Joshua for more than six weeks, during a sickness. He died shortly thereafter in April. Shubael Whitney billed the tribe for making a coffin for Joshua, “Benjamin George’s boy” and Mark Daniels sought reimbursement for providing a burial shroud and for digging Joshua’s grave.
