Dana, Samuel

Samuel Dana was a lawyer from Groton, Massachusetts who was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 1803.  He later became a member of the State Senate (1805-1812), serving as its president (1807, 1811-1812) and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives (1814-1815 ).  He returned later to the Massachusetts Legislature from 1825-1827.  Wikipedia.
